"Benchmark" is the MLS® Home Price Index: the price of a home with the most typical features in the area, so one unusual sale doesn't skew it the way an average would. Benchmarks by home type and the price trends are CREA's published index for each real estate board area; Ancaster, Dundas, Stoney Creek and Waterdown are reported inside the Hamilton-Burlington area. Community benchmarks, sales, listings and days on market are from Cornerstone's monthly release, which comes out around the fifth of each month for the month before. Figures are for information only and should be verified before any decision.
